A girl in South Miami-Dade shot herself Saturday afternoon, according to police, who did not immediately release further information.<p/> First responders rushed to a home at the 13100 block of Southwest 280 Terrace at about 5 p.m., when Miami-Dade police received calls that a girl reportedly shot herself.

Police identified a bicyclist killed in a hit-and-run accident in Southwest Miami-Dade Monday night as 46-year-old Yasmany Sosa Alfonso.<p/> Alfonso died on the shoulder of the road in the 15300 block of Southwest 157th Avenue. He was riding home from work on a light-blue bicycle when he was struck by a car heading north, said Detective Roy Rutland, a Miami-Dade police spokesman.
