LIBERTY CITY | A burglar broke into a house in the 1400 block of Northwest 68th Terrace, stole items from the property and broke a water pipe, causing water to fill the bathroom between Nov. 26 and Nov. 28.

Not only did he serve as a chaplain and first lieutenant during World War II, but he is now regarded as the “father of the Cuban Jewish community'' in South Florida, Lillian Libhaber said.
